Kings, Queens and Bishops: The Tudors and the Founding of Modern Britain

In this set of four lectures, we will examine many of the most famous figures in British history including Henry VIII, Sir Thomas More, Thomas Cromwell, Anne Boleyn, Mary I, Queen Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scotts. We will also be exploring a rich pageant of events that will include the end of the Wars of the Roses, the Reformation in England and Scotland, English colonization, and the conflicts with Spain that culminated with the Spanish Armanda in 1588.
