About this Event
The Kingborough Repair Cafe on again in August.
Staffed by generous community volunteers, you can get support to learn new skills or fix small items.
Repairers are available for:
- Small fabric repairs and mending, e.g. hand sewing/hemming, patches, visible mending, loose or missing buttons, soft toy repair. Small machine sewing repairs. Please note this is not an alteration service.
- Woodwork repairs: picture frames, small furniture items, e.g. chairs, sidetables.
- Jewellery repairs, small items, fixing clasps, replacing earring loops etc
- Plant saving tips and techniques
- **NEW Basket repairs
Please bring:
- One item for repair, you will work alongside your repairer.
- Curiosity and the willingness to observe and learn new skills.
- Any useful items to assist your repair.
Tea and coffee provided.
IMPORTANT - HOW TO GET THERE
The Repair Cafe is being held in our C Block building, in the Learning Centre, 8 Hutchins Street. Parking available off Church Street. This is ACROSS the road from our main Library building.
We look forward to welcoming you. The Cafe will run from 2 - 4pm.
