About this Event
Come along to the King St Book Club and join us for an evening of lively and in-depth discussion of Dusk by Robbie Arnott.
Robbie Arnott, author of Limberlost, The Rain Heron and Flames is a two-time winner of The Age Book of the Year, he has been awarded the Voss Literary Prize and named a Sydney Morning Herald Best Young Novelist.
'Dusk is a sublime novel of loss and redemption, fight and surrender, that left me in absolute awe. Robbie Arnott's prose is incandescent, his storytelling mythic and filled with a wisdom that extends beyond the page. With Dusk, he asserts himself as one of Australia's finest literary writers.' Hannah Kent
The book and conversation facilitated by Avid Reader's Bookclubs Manager, Jennifer Stephens, a glass of wine, and tastes of King Street are all included in your book club ticket.
This month we'll meet in The Library at Rydges and enjoy delicious food from Bar Gusto over our discussion of 'Dusk'. We'll also vote for our best book club book of the year!
Current Book Club members will collect their book at our November meeting at 3 Bros Korean Bistro and new members will be contacted to confirm collection from King St, Bowen Hills or Avid Reader, West End.
