Joe Hill is an American fantasy and horror author, best known for his novels The Fireman and Heart-Shaped Box, and his comic book series Locke & Key.
Hill grew up in Maine, USA. His first book, the short fiction collection 20th Century Ghosts (2005) won both the Bram Stoker Award for Best Fiction Collection and the British Fantasy Award for Best Collection, and his debut novel Heart-Shaped Box followed in 2007.
After the huge commercial and critical success of his first books, Hill confirmed his identity as Joseph Hillström King, the son of one of the world's most famous living novelists Stephen King.
