The King of the Waitemata is a counter-clockwise - 37km circumnavigation of Auckland's Rangitoto and Motutapu Islands, open to all foiling and skiff classes. The 2025 edition of the race will be held on Sunday 2 November at Takapuna Boating Club.
Entries are now open, but get in quickly as it is strictly limited to 50 entries.
Each entrant must be capable of completing the course in under 3 hours.

Time of first warning signal 12.00 - Regular
Time of first warning signal 13.00 - Elite
Prizegiving following the completion of racing at Takapuna Boating Club with the bar open for drinks and food.

Entry fee: $70
Late Entry fee: $90 after Friday 24 October
Entries close: 5pm Wednesday 29 October 2025 (No entries on the day)
