Kindergarten Readiness Classes
Come join us at The Playhouse- A Playspace For Kids for our Kindergarten Readiness Classes! Get your little ones ready for the big step into kindergarten with our fun and interactive classes. Our experienced teachers will help your child develop important skills like socialization, fine motor skills, and self regulation. These classes are designed to prepare your child for a successful transition into kindergarten while having a blast. Don't miss out on this great opportunity to set your child up for success! This kindergarten readiness class is rooted in developmental play and led by a board-certified, pediatric therapist. This opportunity to learn is just as much for the parents as it is for the children! Our mission is to empower parents and caregivers to think like a child and help promote skill development. Putting a child in front of a worksheet can limit their ability to learn, a child learns best through play!
This class is about connection with your child, support from like-minded parents, and making learning fun, all led by a play expert!
Our kindergarten readiness class will be in an intimate 3-4 child setting, allowing the therapist to help you learn your child's strengths with 1:1 time. We are privately renting out the entire space at The Playhouse allowing for free play and intrinsic motivation to be an integral part of the class. Outside of the 1:1 instruction time, your child will have the ability to play freely, while you have the opportunity to observe and make a mental note of what they are attracted to. This gives you an in-the-moment chance to discover their interests and formulate a plan for how to support their learning with their biggest motivators in play.
Classes are $50 per module with four modules; the total investment is $200 per course. The registration includes four instructional classes focusing on Sensory Integration, Emotional Regulation, Fine Motor Skills, and Gross Motor Skills, all needed for academic success in the classroom or homeschool setting. After each module, an educational email summarizing the activity, new activities you can implement at home (with ways to make them easier or harder to create just the right challenge!), and access to a Q & A call after the course completion is also included. After registering through Eventbrite, you will receive an invoice for the course via Square. Payment must be made within 48 hours of receiving the invoice before the spot will open again to someone else.
