About this Event
This workshop covers everything you need to know about making traditionally fermented kimchi at home in a fun and approachable way. The workshop is 3.5 hrs long, held in an intimate class setting with our instructor Joyce Chung. Joyce grew up making kimchi with her mom and grandmother, and has been teaching fermentation workshops since 2014. This guided workshop incorporates stories and key tips/tricks for success in making your own kimchi at home.
The focus of this class is for making baechu kimchi, which is a napa cabbage based kimchi. Participants will work through the process step by step following live demo and instruction, with all ingredients and tools provided. Everyone will go home with their creation and knowledge on how to make kimchi confidentially.
