Join us for a screening of the award-winning documentary Kili Big that follows a group of plus-sized women from around the world in their attempt to climb the tallest freestanding mountain on the planet, Mount Kilimanjaro. Film is followed by a panel discussion featuring the director, Ida Joglar, a filmmaker from San Juan, Puerto Rico whose work has taken her from the depths of the Indian Ocean to the tallest peak in Africa, and Greenfield resident, “fat activist” and film participant Eve Bogdanove who hiked the mountain to mark her 50th birthday. Kili Big premiered at Geena Davis’ Bentonville Film Festival where it won the Jury Award for Best Documentary Feature; Joglar received the Athena Film Festival’s Breakthrough Director Award for her work on the movie.
