An 18 hole Footgolf event. An intriging mix of soccer and golf. Plenty of beers, lots of fun.Foot Golf you say? Ever heard of it? Here is the low down.
The Game: FootGolf is a precision sport, a combination of the popular sports of soccer and golf, being more closely related to golf. The rules largely correspond to the rules of golf and players kick a regulation #5 soccer ball at a golf course facility on shortened holes with 21-inch diameter cups in as few shots as possible.
Separate to the 'golf' we are also taking the opportunity to raise some much needed funds for JDRF:
Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that strikes both children and adults suddenly. It has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. There is nothing you can do to prevent it. And, at present, there is no cure. 2.1 million people in the U.S. are expected to have T1D by 2040.
JDRF works tirelessly to find better treatments, preventions and ultimately, a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D) and its complications through critical research.
Here are the event details: Date: May 21st, 2024
Location: Chesapeake Bay Golf Club
Time: Buses depart Kildare's at 12.30pm for a 2pm kick offand will return by 7pm for some awards and I'm sure a few beers.
Price per Foursome is $360.
The price includes the following:
