Pangot is located near Nainital, Uttarakhand, surrounded by dense oak, pine, and evergreen forests.

- Pangot is 45–60 minutes from Nainital by road. Parking available at Jungle Lore Birding Lodge.
- By Bus:
- Take a bus to Nainital, then hire a taxi to Pangot.
- By Train:
- Nearest railway station: Kathgodam (50–60 km). Taxis available from the station.
