About this Event
WHO ARE THE CAMPS FOR?
They are for guys and girls, who would like to try new things, make friends, learn about God and have a bit of an adventure! They can come with a group from their church or by themselves as no leader is needed to come with them.
LEADING ON CAMPIn total we usually have around 120 children and young people going so it’s going to be busy! As you know these camps are all about young people growing in their faith, learning and trying new things and being built up in friendships and self-esteem. Therefore we are going to need committed and passionate leaders who share this vision and this is were you come in.
We recommend you choose 1 or 2 of these camps but bear in mind that we might have to try and change things round a bit if we have one camp with lots of leaders interested and another with very few. For those who are 17 you can apply to be a leader at Junior Camp and for those 18 and over you can apply to lead on any camp.
This year, we have thought it would be important to spend some time together as a team, therefore we are looking everyone who wishes to lead on camp to attend a Training Day on Saturday 18th May 2024 (10:30am - 4pm) in Portadown First Presbyterian. This is being run by Growing Young Disciples and will be a wonderful opportunity to grow our skills, connect with one another, connect with God and be ready for the summer ahead. We are covering the cost for this day.
JUNIOR CAMP
Thursday 1st August - Monday 5th August 2024
(Camp is for those going in to Yr. 8, 9 & 10)
MIDDLE CAMP
Wednesday 7th August - Sunday 11th August 2024
(Camp is for those going in to Yr. 10, 11 & 12)
SENIOR CAMP
Friday 26th July – Tuesday 30th July 2024
(Camp is for those going in to Yr. 11, 12, 13 & 14)

COST/ Leader is £45 per person, this is due to increase of food and other costs - if this is problematic get in touch and we will help.
Every leader will need to be Access:NI checked. If you have not competed this previously contact Joshua Thornbury.
Due to the volume of applications we can not guarantee that you will be able to lead on the camp of your choice.
