Kierston White & Carter Sampson are joining for a songswap to raise money to go to Folk Alliance International, 2026! We are so excited to have the duet of Oklahoma songstresses in the Depot for a special performance on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 7-9pm. Kierston and Carter started playing together around 2014 as part of the original Tequila Songbird swap and Carter has been a regular part in Kierston’s weekly CMGT songswap style shows. Carter was a role model of Kierston’s when she began paying in Norman and would attend her shows for inspiration. Since then the two have become close friends and musical colleagues.
Kierston White is a Norman, OK-based Americana singer-songwriter known for her heartfelt lyrics, strong guitar work, and pivotal role in the Oklahoma Red Dirt scene. Kierston has toured throughout the US and formed local projects Tequila Songbirds and Country Music Group Therapy. She worked as an ICU nurse during the pandemic, adding depth and unique perspective to her writing. She hopes to make new friends in music and the music business at Folk Alliance in January so that she can optimize time spent touring and releasing new material in the next year.
Born and bred in Oklahoma, Carter Sampson is an award-winning singer, songwriter and performer who shares the essential sounds and heartfelt feelings that have always resonated fully and completely from America’s heartland. She has released 6 studio albums and a new solo live recording Live at The Blue Door. She is the founder and director of The Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls OKC, a nonprofit volunteer run organization that empowers girls through music education.
