Every kid loves worms, but did you know that worms are also a great way to convert your kitchen waste into fertiliser? They convert the waste into both liquid fertiliser and castings that are great for plants and garden.
This coming school holidays, get your kids to learn all about the art of worm farming with our one hour hands-on workshop delivered by the experts from the Worm Shed.
The workshop includes an informative and entertaining presentation covering topics such as:
- Worms (of course!)
- The environment
- Worms role in waste management
- Recycling
- Worm biology
- Sustainability
- Mini beasts
- Gardening
We bring masses of wriggling worms for the children to get up close and personal with.
Each child also gets to make their own mini worm farm to keep. You only need to supply a clear plastic bottle for each participant, with the top cut off and we bring everything else.
We look forward to seeing you there!
