Make flower seed balls in our next workshop!
Join NHG's Kaya Randazzo & Rusty E. Allen for a little bit of gardening and a little bit of learning as we host a series of activities just for kids! In our final Friday workshop, we'll be making seed balls out of some of our Texas native wildlfowers.
It's time to get wildflowers planted, and you can help! You'll create clay balls with seeds, compost, and water, and learn a little bit about the flowers. You'll be able to plant them right away, and when they grow, you'll be taking care of our butterflies and other important pollinators next year!
In our series, there's a variety of activities kid's workshops, with a variety of reading, gardening, crafting, and learning activities. Each are inexpensive, $5-10 or FREE adventures into creating, and averages one hour maximum with assistance from our knowledgeable staff. Parents are invited to drop by our Cafe before the events for a coffee or tea, or stay afterward for a morning snack and a chance to shop with us.
NOTE: This event is indoors in our Classroom. Our space is limited to 24 children aged 5-12. include your child's name and age along with a cell phone number when you register. Please, a parent or adult must accompany the child brought with them to the workshop.
