Join us for this action-packed workshop to experience the glory of the ancient Olympic games.
Come face to face with Olympic torches and learn about the ancient and modern Olympics. Then test your strength as you compete in a re-imagined ancient Pentathlon contest - featuring a stadion race, wrestling (our epic tug-of-war), long jump, javelin and discus throw. Don't miss your chance to be crowned with the victors’ olive wreath!
This event is perfect for ages 7-11 (Must be accompanied by an 18+).
This Workshop is being held as part of the 2024 Bastille Day French Festival.
Swap your beanie for a beret and rendez vous at the iconic Queen Victoria Market's Sheds C & D this Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July for the annual Bastille Day French Festival. Everyone's favourite celebration of all things French in Melbourne is back in 2024 with our most authentic feel yet in this new venue.
The Bastille Day French Festival includes a French Winter Market, which will transport you to a classic wintry French town square, as well as a cultural program filled with Les Lumières talks, Walking Tours and masterclasses, right in the heart of the city!
We will also have our Online Program in full swing so if you can’t join us in person, join us online for a range of live crosses to France, in conversations, musical delights and more! Join us in person or online, as the joie de vivre returns this July.
