We're hitting the road and heading north to Marshall County! We will spend our morning in "Black Squirrel City" (Marysville, KS) at the Pony Express Barn & Museum and the Marshall County Historic Courthouse. We will pause our adventures for lunch before traveling to Blue Rapids. There we will catch a train ride on the Central Branch Railroad over the Big Blue. Our final leg of our journey will take us to the Depot Museum in Waterville before heading back to the Flint Hills Discovery Center.Registration fee includes round trip travel in our 15 passenger vans. Participants will need a sack lunch and refillable water bottle. Clothes appropriate for outdoors and walking on trails are suggested.
Tour leaves the Flint Hills Discovery Center at 8:30 a.m. and returns no later than 4 p.m.
This program is for ages 8-17.
Pre-registration is required by Wednesday, August 7 at 5 p.m. online, by phone at 785-587-2726, or in person at the Discovery Center.
