Get ready for a spook-tacular sewing project! In this Halloween-themed class, kids will learn how to use a sewing machine to create their very own friendly ghost pillow. This workshop is designed for beginners and perfect for ages 7 and up.With a maximum of 4 students per class, each child will get plenty of hands-on guidance as they bring their ghost to life. Along the way, students will practice important sewing skills, including:
-Pattern cutting
-Appliqué techniques
-Understanding seam allowance
-Basic sewing machine operation
-Turning a project right-side out
-Stuffing for shape and softness
-Simple hand stitching for finishing touches
This class is taught by guest teacher Anita Wott, who has over 10 years of experience teaching sewing skills to students of all ages at Jo-Ann Fabrics.
By the end of class, each student will go home with a handmade ghost pillow—just in time for Halloween decorating or snuggling!
Sewing Machines are provided.
