Dive into the wonders of science at Snapology's Kids' Night Out: Science Night! Students will engage in LEGO® based activities in the spirit of World Space Week (October 4-10th) and Earth Science Week(October 13-19th). Students will get to play,& choose the activities they want to complete, and grow their knowledge all while playing. We'll cap off the night with the scientific adventure of "Big Hero 6."Snacks & Pizza provided!Activities Include:
Astronomy: Students can use LEGO® to build our solar system and illustrate how each planet is unique, how astronomers examine planets, and how each planet orbits around the sun. Plenty of LEGO® to build aliens & space ships that can cruise the solar system will be available for free building.
Space Exploration Robotics: Students will create LEGO® models of rovers and learn to program their rover to explore space. They can learn about space exploration and the science behind it.
Team Building Challenge: Earthquakes. Students will be divided into small teams and given a challenge to build a structure sturdy structure that can withstand different magnitudes of earthquakes. This will encourage teamwork, communication, and cooperation.
