Step into the spotlight and join us for a year-long adventure with
Kid’s Night Out: Broadway Bound! Each month, kids ages 8-13 will immerse themselves in the magic of Broadway musicals with themed art projects, interactive activities, and playful theater fun—no experience needed!
While your artists are enjoying a creative evening in the studio, you can be exploring downtown- visiting the best shops and eating at the best restaurants! Each evening includes a mix of art, games, and music inspired by a beloved Broadway show:
January: Frozen
Craft a sparkling snowflake mobile and an Olaf-themed keepsake.
Play “Build a Snowman” relay and Frozen charades.
Sing and dance to “Let It Go” and other Frozen hits.
February: Wicked
Create your own Glinda crown or Elphaba witch hat.
Design a magical Emerald City skyline.
Play “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” obstacle course and learn moves to “Defying Gravity.”
March: Jungle Book Jr.
Craft animal masks of Baloo, Bagheera, or Shere Khan.
Make jungle-inspired handprint art featuring leafy vines and animal prints.
Play “Jungle Freeze Dance” and sing along to “The Bare Necessities.”
April: Aladdin
Decorate a magic carpet with colorful patterns.
Build a genie lamp sculpture with air-dry clay.
Play “Find the Treasure” scavenger hunt and learn simple Arabian dance moves to “A Whole New World.”
May: Matilda
Create a whimsical book cover craft inspired by Matilda’s love for reading.
Design a library bag with fun patterns and stamps.
Play “Trunchbull’s Toss” (a fun twist on a beanbag toss) and sing to
“When I Grow Up.”
June: Hairspray
Decorate a vinyl record art piece with retro colors and designs.
Create 60s-style hair accessories like bows or headbands.
Play “Big Hair Relay” and dance to “You Can’t Stop the Beat.”
July: Annie
Paint a canvas inspired by
“Tomorrow” with bright, sunny colors.
Create and decorate a mini locket like Annie’s iconic keepsake.
Sing along to “It’s a Hard Knock Life” and play theater games like “Spotlight Freeze.”
August: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Craft a giant lollipop sculpture with vibrant colors and swirls.
Create candy-themed accessories like wearable candy necklaces.
Play “Golden Ticket Hunt” and perform silly skits inspired by Willy Wonka’s characters.
September: Mary Poppins
Create a whimsical “Magic Bag” craft using fabric and craft supplies.
Design and create your own magical umbrella.
Play “Step in Time” dance game and practice singing
“Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.”
October: Beetlejuice Jr.
Craft a black-and-white striped Beetlejuice-inspired photo frame.
Make spooky “Sandworm” sculptures using air-dry clay and paint.
Play “Beetlejuice Says” (a ghoulish twist on Simon Says) and rehearse to “Day-O (Banana Boat Song).”
November: The Greatest Showman
Design and decorate circus-themed posters with your name as the star performer.
Create a mini big top craft.
Play “Ringmaster Relay” and enjoy a circus-themed group performance to “The Greatest Show.”
December: Elf the Musical
Craft your own Buddy the Elf ornament using felt and colorful embellishments.
Create a winter-themed garland with snowflakes and holiday shapes.
Play “Elf Charades” and finish the night with a group singalong to
“Sparklejollytwinklejingley.”

NOTES:
Suggested age range is 8-13 years old. Kid's Night Out is a drop-off workshop. Participants should be checked in and out no more than 5 minutes before and after the start and end times. Dairy-free popcorn snack will be provided, but be sure to eat a meal before.
