What would it have been like to grow up in the Ames Mansion? On this 30 minute guided tour, explore the history of the Ames family from the perspective of the Ames children. This tour is targeted towards families and kids, all are welcome to join.
The Ames Mansion at Borderland State Park was built in 1910 for Oakes and Blanche Ames and their four children.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
- Space is limited to 15 people per tour. Pre-register to ensure your spot on the tour.
- First-floor only.
- If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration. This helps to make space for other visitors.
- Tours are free. Parking fees do apply.
- Meet in front of the Ames Mansion at least 5 minutes BEFORE the tour starts. Once the tour enters the mansion, late comers will not be allowed in.
- First floor of the Ames Mansion is ADA accessible. Reasonable accommodations available upon request. There are two handicap spaces located along the side of the mansion. Please coordinate with park staff.
