(The film follows the hilarious fallout from the invention of Gleemonex, a happiness drug that just so happens to put users into comas.) The result was a critical and commercial flop that put the final nail in the troupe’s already well-secured coffin. But in this age of mass chemical dependency, the Kids’ one-and-only cinematic effort has aged like fine Prozac. Silly, absurd, and genuinely daring in way few comedy films are, BRAIN CANDY is the perfect prescription for the winter blues.
