About this Event

Join the European Union and our Member States for one of the largest performing arts festivals for children in America: The Kids Euro Fest! Hosted over two Saturdays -- first at the French Embassy (October 9th) and then at the Swedish Embassy (October 16th) -- the Kids Euro Fest Family Days will feature in-person European performances, interactive workshops, games, food vendors and music that everyone in your family will enjoy.

Programming runs from 12:00PM-4:00PM each day; for more information about our activities, check out our website here!

As always, the Kids Euro Fest is completely FREE, but please make sure to RSVP and review the EU's privacy policy here.

****Please note the different locations for the two dates:****

October 9, 12pm to 4pm – Embassy of France (4101 Reservoir Rd, NW)

Families can enjoy a variety of activities for kids of all ages. There will be a German theatrical production to transport guests into a fairytale, a workshop with a Latvian children’s book illustrator, an Irish dance performance and lesson, and a Portuguese art activity. Our French hosts will present a workshop on climate change, along with a short film screening. Throughout the day, kids can get creative at the craft table, engage in some friendly competition with outdoor games and indulge in food catered by the French Embassy’s very own chef.

October 16, 12pm to 4pm – Embassy of Sweden (2900 K St, NW)

Families are welcome on the beautiful Georgetown grounds of the Swedish Embassy for the second family day of the Kids Euro Fest. Highlights include an Austrian painting workshop, a Swedish stilt performer, workshops with Dutch jazz musicians, and a lively Irish dance performance with a lesson. Throughout the day, kids can enjoy getting creative at the craft table, join in outdoor games or try some European style food from our local vendors.

Busy Saturdays but free on Sundays? From October 10 to 24, the Embassy of Finland will host an exhibition of the Moomins fairytales at the National Children’s Museum (1300 Pennsylvania Ave, NW). RSVP here.

Also don't miss out on the Hungarian National Day for Kids! Hosted at the Embassy of Hungary (3910 Shoemaker St NW) on October 23, family and children can enjoy and celebrate Hungarian culture. More information about the event and registration details can be found here.
