Potatoes take center stage in this hands-on Kids Day in the Kitchen workshop! Participants will explore one of the Ozarks most reliable and versatile crops while learning how food travels from farm to table.Kids and parents will work together to prepare simple, nourishing potato dishes! We will make a cozy seasonal soup and homemade gnocchi - all while building kitchen confidence, knife safety skills, and teamwork.
Along the way, we’ll talk about where potatoes are grown locally, how they’re stored through winter, and why they’re such an important staple food.
This FREE workshop is designed to be interactive, fun, and approachable, encouraging kids to taste, touch, and learn while cooking from scratch. Each participant will leave with new skills, recipes to try at home, and a deeper connection to local food.
