An Aspiring Chef's Dream - A weeklong hands-on cooking camp taught by Biltmore chef instructors with special workshops by our acclaimed hotel chefs. The weeklong sessions are open to children ages 9 - 16. Students are grouped by age and work in our fully equipped, profession kitchen academy. Class size is limited.
Classes are held Monday through Friday from 9am - 2pm
Children of ages 9-to-16 may now enroll in a unique hands-on culinary camp led by the renowned Biltmore chefs. As one of the few hotels in the country with a leisure cooking school, the Biltmore’s Culinary Academy is where future foodies learn how to work within the kitchen while gaining insight in the culinary field on topics such as:
• Techniques and ingredients of international cuisines;
• Menu planning;
• Presentation and garnishing;
• Baking and pastry;
• Kitchen safety;
• Sanitation of kitchen and food; and,
• Identification and proper usage of kitchen tools and equipment.
Children will acquire such insight while enjoying their time cooking a vast array of foods from favorite Italian dishes, sushi, pastries, and healthy desserts.
