Kids Create is an after school club for Primary and Secondary school age children. With school funding being cut for creative subjects, we at Arty Farty Retreat aim to bring back creativity into children’s lives. We aim to help your children express themselves, socialise and collaborate with their peers and learn new skills with different projects each week.
We’re so excited to be participating in our own entrepreneurship project for the Christmas term! Inspired by the Virgin Money’s Make 5 Grow scheme. It’ll spark their creativity and develop key life skills – like creativity, problem-solving, managing money and teamwork.
We’ll loan each child £5 and they can use this themselves or with other Kids Create members to set up their own mini creative businesses. Pupils have to come up with a creative idea, make a plan, use their £5 to develop their product or service, and sell them for a profit. They’ll get advice along the way from our Arty Farty SmARTys as we make our way through each step of this project. Each child will get a certificate at the end of their project!
