About this Event
Starting kids with good knife skills can be a little intimidating. What better way to learn about chopping and safe knife handling than to learn in a fun environment with new friends! This interactive class will teach young chefs all the knife skills they need to know, gain hands-on kitchen experience, and have fun with educational handouts all using knifes safely in the kitchen!
This is a hands-on class where each child and parent will be involved in chopping vegetables for two dishes. Kids will be placed in groups based on current skill levels and age. Kitchen skills include: learning about different types of knifes, how to cut in a grid, how to hold a knife, and knife safety. All the chopped ingredients will go into a chop salad bar and fruit dip. Each participant will get to try the class creations PLUS enjoy some delicious roasted tomato soup with bread, a full meal! Come have fun with us in the kitchen this summer!
Only 20 spots available per class. Tickets are non-refundable but are transferable to another person.
*6-12 years of age: must have a parent/guardian participating alongside them with a separate purchased ticket. All parents attending the workshop must have a purchased ticket. May have more than one child per parent.
