About this Event
Join the Hanai foundation for a 4-week cooking class series! This class is geared towards children aged 8 to 12 years old (4th and 5th grade). Students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Each week we will learn about a different food group and cook a recipe inspired by it. During the class, we will taste ingredients, play fun games, and get to taste test the recipes that we cook! Our recipes will be inspired by seasonal eating and incorporate locally sourced produce. Ingredients and supplies will be provided. Space is limited so be sure to sign up soon!
Classes will led by our very own Center Coordinator, Juliana Biggs. Juliana has a background in nutrition education, has been cooking with her family all her life, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Public Health. She is passionate about giving people the tools they need to make informed choices about their health and wellness and she believes that learning about nutrition can happen at any age!
