Hey young artists, get ready for an awesome 'Kid’s Clay Slab Mug' workshop with Mary Case at LACA! This thrilling two-part summer adventure lets you create your very own ceramic mug that is food and dishwasher safe!In this workshop, Mary will teach you how to shape a slab of clay into a fantastic mug. You'll discover different texture tricks and design secrets to make your mug truly one-of-a-kind!
This exciting adventure is split into two fun-filled sessions. On Tuesday, July 16 you'll get your hands dirty and shape your mug from clay. Then, on Tuesday, July 30, you'll add colors to your creation with glaze. Once your mug has had its final fiery journey in the kiln, you can collect it from LACA.
Registering costs just $25 and includes all the supplies you'll need. There are two workshop times to choose from. If you're between 5 - 9 years old, join us from 9 - 10 a.m. If you're between 9 - 13, your workshop is from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Don't worry if you have a sibling in a different age group, you can attend together!
Mary Case is a local artist, teacher, and gallery owner in Ludington. Her studio is located on Dowland Street, two blocks east of the car ferry.
