Calling all creative kids! Join us this summer at Colony Acres Family Farm in North Liberty for a fun-filled Kids Polymer Clay Camp! Held in the beautiful barn, this camp is designed to inspire young artists and teach exciting polymer clay techniques. We're offering Beginner and Intermediate camps, so there's something for everyone!Camp Details:
Intermediate Camp: For incoming 6th-8th graders or kids with experience in basic clay techniques.
Location: Colony Acres Family Farm, North Liberty (in the barn)
Time: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Cost: $95/child
Dates Options:
June 18-20 (Wed, Thurs, Fri)
August 19-21 (Tues, Wed, Thurs)
Each camp runs for 3 days, 2 hours per day, and you can choose to attend one camp or all three! While the techniques taught will remain consistent across the camps, the projects will vary, offering new creations and challenges for returning campers.
Monthly Themes & Projects:
June 18-20: Jewelry & Accessories – Make earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, keychains, and bookmarks
August 19-21: Home decor – Design dishes, coasters, magnets, and ornaments/wall hangings
Techniques Taught:
Intermediate Skills (6th-8th Grade)
1. Quick basics plus advanced color mixing and marbling.
2. Making intricate canes and checkerboard designs.
3. Advanced techniques: Mokume gane and creating stone effects.
