Calling all creative kids! Join us this summer at Colony Acres Family Farm in North Liberty for a fun-filled Kids Polymer Clay Camp! Held in the beautiful barn, this camp is designed to inspire young artists and teach exciting polymer clay techniques. We're offering Beginner and Intermediate camps each month, so there's something for everyone!Camp Details-
Beginner Camp: For incoming 3rd-5th graders or kids new to polymer clay.
Location: Colony Acres Family Farm, North Liberty (in the barn)
Time: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Cost: $95/child
Dates Options:
June 18-20 (Wed, Thurs, Fri)
July 7-9 (Mon, Tues, Wed)
August 19-21 (Tues, Wed, Thurs)
Each camp runs for 3 days, 2 hours per day, and you can choose to attend one camp or all three! While the techniques taught will remain consistent across the camps, the projects will vary each month, offering new creations and challenges for returning campers.
Monthly Themes & Projects:
June 18-20: Jewelry – Make earrings, necklaces, and bracelets
July 7-9: Accessories – Create keychains, magnets, and bookmarks
August 19-21: Home decor – Design dishes, coasters, and ornaments/wall hangings
Techniques Taught:
Beginner Basics (3rd-5th Grade)
1. Introduction to polymer clay: Basic shapes and bead-making.
2. Marble techniques: Chop and twist.
3. Transfers and textures for fun designs.
