THIS SUPER FUN WEEK WILL MAKE THE KIDS FEEL LIKE THEY ARE OUTDOORS!Join us for this special Exploring Nature Camp for kids k-8th grade. Younger ones are welcome but please call in before you register them.
On June 24th we will be making 2 different types of bird feeders, painting a wooden bird house that they can hang outdoors, and Nature bracelets or they can use them for bookmarks.. They will get to choose colors for their birdhouse and choose their own real flowers and leaves for the bracelet or bookmark. We will go over different types of birds and give them handouts about birds that they can bring home as well. We will provide all the materials as well as the bird seed. PLEASE BRING A PACKED LUNCH WITH YOUR CHILDS NAME ON IT.
On June 27th we will be painting clay pots, with the design of their choice, which we will have various ideas for them to choose from. We will then teach them how to plant flowers and how to take care of them at home. Then we will be working with air drying clay and teaching them how to make a Nature Pinch Pot. They will also add flowers or leaves to decorate their piece. We will seal them when dry to protect their flowers and make them last for a very long time. All materials are provided for these projects as well. WE WILL BE DOING A HOT DOG LUNCH FROM SAM'S HOTDOG. NO LUNCH NEEDED THIS DAY UNLESS THEY WILL NOT EAT HOTDOGS.
