About this Event
Join Nicci at Happy Reading Children’s Bookshop for a fun-filled book club celebrating Max & Chaffy: What a Delicious Discovery!, the brand-new 5th book in the graphic novel-style adventure by Jamie Smart — full of puzzles, humour and heart.
We’ll share the story together in a read-along, followed by book-based activities inspired by the cheeky charm of Max, Chaffy, and their island of tasty surprises.
Each £5 ticket includes a paperback copy of the book, publishing 14th August with David Fickling Books.
Need to know info about the event and venue:
〰 Suitable for children aged 5+
〰 Event duration: 30 minutes
〰 Ticket price is £5 per child (includes a paperback copy of the book, usually £6.99) - booking is essential
〰 Additional information: the bookshop is on the 1st floor up a flight of stairs; children will sit on the floor/on chairs for the reading, then at a child’s play table & chairs or be stood around a crafting table, and will be provided with equipment including washable colouring pencils/crayons/pens depending on their age and ability. There are a couple of seats for adults who wish to attend with their children, otherwise adults will be expected to stand and watch (and join in if they like), or enjoy a lovely coffee and pastry downstairs in STAPLE.
