Kids Black History Crafts is a hands-on educational workshop for children ages 5-10, using craft-based activities to promote positive self-esteem, cultural awareness, and increase learning capabilities in young children.The classes meet once per month beginning February 17th 2024 all times are from 2pm-3pm. Registration is required. $10 donation day of classes.
Class Titles:
February 17th, 2024: Learn about The Tuskegee Airmen and construct and paint your own RED TAILS Fighter Jet.
March 16th A is for Africa Sip n Paint. Hot Chocolate, Juice, and snacks as we paint various portraits of Africa and various other images on canvas.
April 20th. Zulu Masks and Drumming! Make your own African Zulu Warrior Mask and learn how to play the African Djembe Drum.
May 18th: X Marks The Spot! Learn about the life of Malcolm X and make your own coloring book that celebrate his life and legacy.
Parents are encouraged to participate.
