Why this Forum?
It’s sobering to think that about 3,000 kids in Lancaster alone have a parent behind bars. That separation, as well as the deep trauma that can be experienced beforehand, leads to all manner of suffering.
SWAN meets kids where they are. Through their after school programs, indivdual care by mental health professionals, musical performance opportunities, and optional Bible lessons, Diana and her team are becoming agents of restoration.
We are excited to showcase the work of SWAN, and we recognize that for some of us, incarceration has come close to home. Others of us need to become aware of its impact on children.
We want to showcase this amazing work among some of our most vulnerable neighbors. It's not a pleasant reality, but it's one the savior Jesus would gladly run toward. "Let the litttle children come to me...."

She will show videos and readily answer all your questions.
As a bonus, a PA State law enforcer with a deep love for Christ and kids will be in house to share his heart for restorative justice.
