Kids Aerial Yoga with Michele of Flying Beach Yoga & kula Yoga Kids is a class designed to empower and uplift kids to their highest authentic selves. Using the colorful hammocks, we develop increased proprioception of where our bodies are in time and space in relation to the earth. The aerial yoga practice is powerful for kids in building self awareness, self confidence, and strength in a fun environment. Kids need to bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing that does not have buttons or zippers as it can rip the fabric. (Also no jewelry). Ages 7 and up.
In the day camp setting, you can expect your child(ren) to be cared for by Ms Michele who is highly trained in yoga and aerial yoga along with trained and CPR certified camp counselors. The little yogis & yoginis will have time for play, time for a snack and/or lunch, time for ongoing kids aerial yoga training, partner aerial yoga, yoga based games, and hammock based meditation.
One whole food fruit/veggie snack will be provided. Kids need to bring their lunch. We look forward to the opportunity to share aerial yoga with your family.
Class Requirements:
* Beginners always welcome. Kids must be able to participate in group activities well. Listening is crucial for aerial instruction.
* Kids also need to have good motor skills and coordination.
* If your child cannot follow instructions and is acting inappropriately or dangerously in the hammock, they will have to sit out for everyone's safety.
