Ready for a fun and exciting kitchen adventure? In this Chopped-style mystery basket challenge, young chefs ages 8-13 will work in teams of two or three to create delicious dishes using surprise ingredients! This interactive class encourages creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving as kids collaborate to transform mystery ingredients into unique and tasty meals.Teams will open their mystery baskets, brainstorm ideas, and get cooking! With guidance from Meryl, they’ll practice essential kitchen skills—chopping, mixing, seasoning, and plating—all while working together to bring their vision to life. There’s no competition, just a chance to experiment with flavors, have fun, and gain confidence in the kitchen.
At the end of class, everyone will share and taste their creations, celebrating each team’s delicious work. Friends are encouraged to sign up together for double the fun, but solo chefs will be paired up to make new friends along the way!
Students are encouraged to wear apron or clothes that can get a little messy, put on sneakers (no sandals, please), and bring a knife they feel confident using. Students will enjoy the meal they cook at the end of class.
