Does your kid have a creative spark? Do they make interesting crafts or inventions? Support their budding business interests and make an impact by joining the Kidpreneur Market at the Brookings Bonanza on July 20th in Downtown Brookings! Kids can set up a booth to sell their goods and services from 9 to 11 a.m. (or later), testing their ideas and business-savvy. The full Brookings Bonanza event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.The event is free but pre-registration is required at the below link. Kids can sell a product or a service. Booth spaces are free and are about 10'x10'. You must provide your own supplies such as a table, chair, tent, extension cords, etc. Limited water and electrical access is available. The Kidpreneur Market section of the event will be on 4th St, on the west side of Main Ave, to allow for easy set-up and pick-up at the corner of 3rd Ave and 4th St.
An optional educational and sign-making event will take place on Friday, July 11th at 10 a.m. at the Brookings Public Library Cooper Room (upstairs). Kids will have a chance to learn from area entrepreneurs and dig into what makes their product or service special. Kids will leave with a personalized sign to hang at their market booth on the 20th.
