Kid-Friendly Portland LIVE! Free Family Event

📍 Location: The Point Community Center, South Portland

Kid-Friendly Portland LIVE is a new event that brings our Kid-Friendly Portland Guide to LIFE in its 3rd annual year. This event highlights the best kid-friendly businesses and organizations in Greater Portland right before Kids Pick Awards voting begins and during the nomination period. Families will have the chance to meet, try, and experience the businesses and organizations you will soon be able to nominate and vote for in the 3rd Annual Kids' Pick Awards which collected over 28000 votes for more than 350 nominated businesses in 2024. This gives kids and parents more visibility and better insight into their favorites which strengthens the quality of this year’s results. Pre registration is NOT required to attend but it is FREE, so why not? Last minute availability? Just come.

Bonus for pre registered families: Pre registered families will receive an event tote bag at check-in. We can only guarantee totes for pre registered families who arrive by noon on event day. A limited amount of additional totes will be available for walk-in attendees who are also welcome. Must be available in person to collect. One per family while supplies last.

Enjoy live performances from some of Greater Portland’s favorite kid-friendly musicians and edutainers. A full performance schedule will be published a couple of weeks before the event and available on this Eventbrite page. Hands-On Activities Try activities, crafts, demos, and interactive experiences hosted by local kid-friendly businesses and organizations.

For the first time ever, families can vote in person for the Kids Pick Awards. Each family will have the option to receive a paper ballot to cast early votes while everything is fresh on your mind. Online voting opens in February but this in-person opportunity is only available at this event.

The Point’s indoor playground and turf field will still be open to the public and available for use during the event. Families are welcome to enjoy these spaces in addition to everything Kid-Friendly Portland LIVE has to offer.
