Join us to celebrate the last night of the 2024 Summer Picnic Concerts to sing along and dance with popular returning artist August Darnell, better known to his fans as Kid Creole, accompanied by his latest Coconuts.
Kid Creole has given us some of the best ever concert party nights at the pool.
Born in the Bronx, New York City, a true melting pot of cultures, he was exposed at an early age to the sounds of Latin, disco, funk, calypso, reggae, jazz, swing, rhythm & blues, soul, country & western, and rock 'n' roll. And it is that unique combination of styles that creates an effervescent party atmosphere at every show, with hits including Annie, I’m Not Your Daddy, I’m a Wonderful Thing, Baby and Stool Pigeon.
When he established Kid Creole and the Coconuts with Adriana Kaegi and Coati Mundi in 1979, Kid Creole had no idea that he would enjoy success around the world for 45 years, releasing 16 albums and over 30 singles as well as receiving the Brit Award for International Artist in 1983.
