Movie/TV placements, relentless touring and such honors as singing the National Anthem for 4th of July at Dodger Stadium to paying tribute to Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and The Big Bopper at the iconic Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa, the scene of their final performances and inspiration for Don McClain’s song American Pie, have pushed him beyond his homegrown boundaries and into the hearts of people worldwide.
