This project aims to provide schools and teachers with CPD, resources and ongoing support to successfully introduce active learning.
About this Event

Is Active Learning something you’d like to develop in your school?

Working with schools across the UK, Teach Active are delivering their innovative ‘Kickstart Active Learning’ programme - supporting teachers to understand the impact and benefit of active learning – and then supporting them in rolling this out across the school to ensure long lasting impact.

Latest research with Loughborough University shows:

• Children are 33% more active

• Children enjoy lessons more and report to be ‘significantly happier’

• Children attain better

Latest report with Public Health shows:

• 100% of teachers said children were more active

• 100% teachers reported a positive effect on children’s engagement with tasks

• 100% teachers reported children met learning objectives

The £175 fee includes:

CPD

Research led CPD delivered by one of the consultants from Teach Active – focusing on the benefits that activelearning can have in your school.

The session will look at the WHY and HOW to introducing movement into your Maths and English lessons, showcasing how this can be done alongside current planning/schemes.

RESOURCES

Each school will leave the session with 3 months access to Teach Active resources – an online bank of over 3000

lesson plans and resources designed to deliver the Maths and English curriculum through movement.

The resources cover Reception to Year 6 and cover every objective under Maths, Reading and Writing – allowing staff to become upskilled and introduce active lessons across your curriculum.

ONGOING SUPPORT

Schools will get exclusive access to a library of online CPD for teachers and subject leaders. Sessions delivered by physical activity specialists, Maths and English subject leaders – allowing schools to seamlessly introduce Teach Active alongside current practice.

Schools will also be able to book one whole school online live CPD session within this 3 month period – suitable for all teachers and teaching assistants.
