The Humdrum Express

Regularly championed by BBC 6 Music and ‘famed’ for withering critique, The Humdrum Express breezily deliver offbeat observation, social commentary and sharp wit; fused with familiar cultural references, surreal characters and subtle puns. Full band Humdrum shows are an eclectic blend of exhilarating indie/punk clatter and joyful, sardonic cheer.
Powys border punks, CHOKED, play original material – blending the genres of punk and post-punk rock with psych-funk.
Following the success of their ep, Bloodsport, they released their self-titled album in early 2023, which forges intricate guitar and bass rhythms with heavyweight environmental and socially conscious lyrics.
Last year saw Choked busy playing at Rebellion Fest, Going Feral Fest, and supporting 999 and XSLF, to name just a few gigs!
202 is set to be even busier and just as much fun!

Bill’s Kitchen, within Ludlow Assembly Rooms, is now offering a 2-course meal before the show for only £15 (if booked 24 hours in advance). Book your table directly with Bill’s Kitchen and come along any time after 5.30pm to eat before the show starts – the earlier you come the bigger the menu selection.
