The 3rd Annual "Kick the Stigma" Day of Wellness will take place on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at DuBois City Park. This community-focused event aims to promote wellness in all areas of life while addressing the pervasive effects of stigma on mental health and overall well-being.
What Is Stigma?
Stigma refers to the negative attitudes, misconceptions, and stereotypes often directed toward individuals based on health conditions, disabilities, or other personal characteristics such as race, gender, or culture. “Kick the Stigma” seeks to educate, inspire, and empower individuals of all ages to foster understanding, compassion, and support.
What to Expect:
This year’s event promises to be a full day of fun, learning, and connection. The centerpiece of the day is the "Kick the Stigma" Kickball Tournament, accompanied by an exciting lineup of activities, including:

Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with wellness experts, learn valuable coping strategies, and access local resources to support mental and physical health.

“Stigma is a barrier that prevents individuals from seeking the help they need,” says Aaron M. Beatty, Event Spokesperson/Organizer. “This event is about creating a space where everyone feels seen, supported, and connected to the resources that can make a difference in their lives.”
