This important initiative, supporting the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent, focuses on collecting one of the most requested, yet least donated, items at food banks: peanut butter. DeTar will have a booth to collect donations at the Victoria Farmers' Market and will share more about how you can get involved. We encourage you to stop by and bring a jar or two to support the cause!
Peanut butter is a critical source of protein, nutrition, and energy for families facing food insecurity. It’s also one of the most affordable, shelf-stable items we can provide to those in need. This year, we’re expanding the reach of the campaign and bringing it to the entire 11-county region served by the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent as well as DeTar Healthcare System. Together, we can make a significant impact in the fight against hunger.
