� **PRELIMINARY DRAMATIC READING INVITATION** �Hi Columbia friends!
I’m going to be in town for Christmas at my parents’ house finishing writing and revising a musical in-between college semesters, and since I currently know almost nobody here, I figured I’d combine two great ideas into one:
1. **Meet people from Columbia**
2. **Hear my musical out loud for the first time with an audience**
So! I’m hosting a **casual, low-pressure dramatic reading** of my new original parody musical
***Kick Me, Kate!*** — a loving (though your mileage may vary on exactly how *loving* it is) satire of Golden Age musicals, theatre snobbery, and British mannerisms! ��
This is a *work-in-progress* reading meant to:
* see what lands,
* figure out what needs fixing,
* and gather feedback before I pitch it to a director from back in Utah who’s expressed interest in producing it next year (!!)
No experience required—just a willingness to read dramatically, laugh generously, and tell me what worked and what didn’t.
� **Date:** 12/18 at 6:00 PM CST
� **Location:** My parents’ house (DM for the address!)
� **Format:** Script in hand, snacks encouraged, accents extremely optional
