GREAT YARMOUTH UNITY PROJECT (GYUP) CANCER EVENT
Saturday 1st November 10.00 am - 12.00 noon
The Wellesley Recreation Ground
GYUP are delighted to be working with our local Primary Care Networks to raise awareness of the importance of Cancer Screening and bring local organisations together to showcase health and wellbeing options available in the area. We will also be joined by several departments from the James Paget University Hospital who will be on hand with information and guidance around cancer and related issues.
Great Yarmouth Town Football Club will be holding open ‘Introduction to Football Sessions’ for any under 16 year old boys and girls who would like to give football a go (trainers or moulded boots to be worn)
We are also offering people the opportunity to become ‘Cancer Champions’ and be the contact point for future Cancer related programmes which they can pass on to work colleagues etc. (see separate post)
