We’re back at our spiritual home, The Carlton Club, with another evening of free and friendly dancefloor adventures. This time we’re buzzing to welcome a very special guest behind the Kibosh decks…✨ NESSA JOHNSTON ✨
Originally from Dublin, Nessa has been DJing and collecting vinyl since the late 90s. From the electro basements of Dublin’s Thomas House to residencies in Liverpool and nights across the UK, she’s built a reputation for weaving together italo disco, nu disco, synth pop, acid house, Detroit techno and beyond. As part of Pint Window Productions, she even helped bring Andrew Weatherall & Sean Johnston’s A Love From Outer Space to Dublin – a testament to her deep roots and impeccable taste.
Some of the Kibosh crew were lucky enough to catch her at the Evil Acid Barrons Weekender this summer. Her afternoon garden set was pure magic – a sun-dappled trip through chug, acid and disco that had us grinning ear to ear. We knew instantly she’d be the perfect fit for Kibosh, so we’re delighted to bring her back to Manchester for some Acid Public House action.
As always, the Kibosh residents will be on hand to keep things wonky, cosmic, and thoroughly danceable. Expect acid squelch, proggy lift-off, and enough bass to wobble the Carlton’s foundations.
