Halim Academy of Sitar presents #Khiraj 2025 on Saturday , 04th Jan - a music festival in memory of Legendary Sitar player and Padma Bhushan awardee Late Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan, the pioneer of the Jafferkhani Baaj in Sitar playing. Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee Pt. Nityanand Haldipur will be performing at the Festival accompanied by Pt. Gourisankar on Tabla. He will also be conferred with the Jafferkhani Samman (award instituted for excellence and contribution in the field of Indian Classical Music).
The festival will also feature Sitar Recital by Zunain Halim Khan accompanied by Ustad Fazal Qureshi on Tabla.
All music lovers are welcome.
Tickets can be collected at the venue 5:30 pm onwards.
