KGNU Community Radio is excited to announce the inaugural “KGNU Radio Week”, a citywide celebration of our station’s vibrant impact on local culture. From May 19 to May 25, KGNU will host a series of engaging programs and events featuring various iconic cultural partner organizations and locations throughout the Boulder community.
This year's Radio Week features a dynamic lineup of events, including live music performances, interactive workshops, special live broadcasts, community celebrations, and much more. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with station staff, learn about volunteer opportunities, engage with various community-oriented cultural organizations and businesses, and discover how they can play a role in shaping the future of community radio.
This year’s Radio Week event lineup includes:
Sunday, May 19 | 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Indigenous Mobile Recording Studio Workshop
KGNU Boulder Studios, 4700 Walnut Street, Boulder
- A free and public workshop hosted by the Mobile Recording Studio for Indigenous musicians to record their creative work with industry professionals at KGNU’s Boulder studios.

The Vipers on Kabaret Live from Roots Music Project
Roots Music Project, 4747 Pearl Suite V3A, Boulder
- The Vipers live on Kabaret from Roots Music Project. Enjoy a bite from Lenin's Pizza Food Truck. Doors / Reception at 6pm, live broadcast 7-8pm, with another set up music until 9pm.

Destination Freedom: Black Radio Days Live Broadcast and Performance at the Boulder Public Library
Boulder Public Library Canyon Theater, 1001 Arapahoe Ave, Boulder
- KGNU and No Credits Productions present "The Voice of the Spirit is Clear," a radio play from the Destination Freedom: Radio Days series, where poignant narratives from the African-American community come to life. Join for a reception in the lobby of the Canyon Theater ahead of the broadcast.

Live Broadcast from the Boulder Creek Festival

- KGNU broadcasts it’s legendary Saturday music programming live from the Boulder Creek Fest, including TerraSonic with Joel Davis, Reggae Bloodlines with Donovan Makha, and African Roots with Ewket.
