About this Event
We are delighted to welcome the Shadow Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper MP.
In a major speech, the Shadow Home Secretary will set out the ways in which a Labour government would take a different approach to law and order and outline her priorities for the Home Office should Labour win the next general election. In one of a series of speeches setting out Labour’s home affairs policies, the Shadow Home Secretary's speech at the IfG will see her discuss Labour’s plan to rebuild neighbourhood policing and reverse the collapse in charges and prosecutions over the last 13 years.
Following her speech, Yvette Cooper will be in conversation with IfG director Dr Hannah White.
Yvette Cooper has been the Member of Parliament to Normanton, Pontefract, Castleford and Knottingley since 1997.
